When Taylor first contacted me to book her wedding we were all so excited! We planned their engagement shoot at Palo Alto Plantation and everything went great. We captured some amazing photos and had a great time. Not too long after that Taylor contacted me to push the wedding date back. She did not say why, but I had the new date available so we made all the arrangements. Turns out Taylor was pregnant with their sweet baby girl! So, before we could have a wedding… we had to have a baby! Their little girl is a DOLL. I had the pleasure of doing her newborn portraits and she is precious. When their wedding day finally got here it was safe to say we were all ready! Taylor got ready with her girls at a friend’s home and had a short and sweet ceremony at Grace Barn in Plaquemine. Taylor and Josh decided to do a first look together before the ceremony which is my FAVORITE! Doing a first look gives the couple an intimate moment together before the wedding, but also gives you SOOO many more portraits together. Taylor and Josh also choose to give me 10 minutes at sunset for couple’s portraits in some perfect golden light. I am so excited when couples give me time for these sunset sessions. It is only 10 minutes out of their day but we get dozens of gorgeous portraits of them all done up on their wedding day, a moment that can never be recreated. When couples choose not to give a designated time frame for some portraits together, nine times out of ten they get caught up in the reception and never take portraits together at all, so I am thrilled when couples allow me this time. Then it was on to the sparkler exit and the reception. It was a great day and I am so happy that they are finally married!
